Ak’chamel, that super mysterious Texas crew, is coming back to haunt eyedrum art and music gallery on November 7th, and trust me, this isn’t your average concert. If you’re into stepping way out on the fringe of experimental music, this is where you need to be.
When you roll up, don’t expect a typical band on stage. Ak’chamel is an anonymous trio, and they show up in these incredible, full-body handmade tribal costumes. They’re not just playing music, they’re creating a whole hallucinatory space that feels more like a theatrical ritual than a regular show. It’s truly something to witness, and they’re known for holding everyone in total, hypnotic fascination.
Their sound is a unique blend, bridging the gap between primitive, lo-fi ritual folk and some serious desert-scorched psychedelia. So if you’re looking for an experience that’s going to challenge your ears and your eyes, this is it. It’s definitely a unique night out for a solo adventure, or if you and your bestie are looking for something completely out of the ordinary to talk about for weeks.
Before Ak’chamel takes the stage, you’ll get to catch an opening set by FRANKS to get things warmed up. Doors open at 8:00 PM, and the music officially starts at 8:30 PM, so you’ve got time to get settled in before the magic begins.
eyedrum is located at 515 Ralph David Abernathy SW, right here in Atlanta. Tickets are $20 if you grab them in advance, or $25 at the door if you decide to jump in last minute. And good news, y’all: this is an all-ages welcome event, so everyone can experience this truly unique evening.
