Get ready, Atlanta, because ATL Black Restaurant Week is back to spice up your summer, kicking off on August 2 and running through August 16, 2026. This two-week celebration is all about shining a spotlight on the incredible Black-owned restaurants, bakeries, food trucks, and caterers across our amazing city. It’s truly a chance to explore the rich flavors and diverse culinary traditions that make Atlanta’s food scene so special.

This isn’t just any food event, y’all. Black Restaurant Week LLC, founded by the visionary Warren Luckett, launched this initiative in Houston back in 2016 and quickly brought that good energy to Atlanta the same year. The whole idea behind it is to give Black culinary professionals the marketing and exposure they deserve, especially since many often face challenges accessing traditional advertising. It’s about more than just a meal, it’s about supporting community and economic growth.

Can you believe this is the 10th annual campaign here in the Atlanta metro area? Over the years, Black Restaurant Week has made a huge impact, supporting thousands of culinary businesses nationwide and generating an estimated $75 million in economic impact for Atlanta alone. Participating in this event means you’re helping these businesses get a much-needed boost in visibility and customer love, especially during what can sometimes be a slower season.

So, what can you expect? Beyond enjoying delicious specials at a wide array of Black-owned establishments, keep an eye out for cool related events like networking mixers and chef’s nights out, which add even more flavor to the celebration. This is your chance to discover new favorite spots, revisit beloved classics, and truly immerse yourself in the vibrant culinary artistry of Black chefs and entrepreneurs. Go on and treat yourself, your friends, and your family to some amazing food while supporting local businesses that are the heartbeat of our city.
