Atlanta Way Day 2026

Hey, my beautiful people! If you’re all about making Atlanta the best it can be, then you absolutely need to mark your calendar for Atlanta Way Day 2026. This isn’t just another event, it’s a whole half-day dedicated to bringing together the folks who are actively shaping our city and region. We’re talking about connecting all the amazing people and programs that are out here doing the work.

When you get there, the doors open bright and early at 8:30 AM, so you can grab your spot and get settled before the program officially kicks off at 9:00 AM. This is where you’ll find Metro Atlanta’s most passionate problem-solvers, all gathered to highlight the big regional challenges we face. But it’s not just about identifying the issues, Atlanta Way Day is all about providing real, tangible solutions to strengthen our civic fabric.

This year, the focus is really building on the important work of Regional Economic Mobility. It’s not just talk, y’all, we’re actually taking action to fix things! You can expect to see our regional partners, Activators, and the wider community all coming together to make some real, impactful change this October. Atlanta Way Day, presented by Atlanta Way 2.0, is truly a platform for individuals and organizations to shine a light on the critical needs of our city. It’s all about connecting, collaborating, and convening to inspire more people to join this movement and drive collective action.

This year’s event is going to be co-hosted by some serious powerhouses: Kathy Waller, who is the Executive Director for the Atlanta Committee for Progress, and Tad Hutcheson, the Managing Director of Community Engagement at Delta Air Lines and SVP of The Delta Airlines Foundation. You know it’s going to be a good one with those two leading the charge! Last year, the Keynote Panel really dove deep into Atlanta’s ranking of 50th out of 50 in Upward Economic Mobility, which definitely lit a fire under us to come together and tackle that challenge.

This year, we’re going to hear all about the progress updates from our incredible partner organizations who are working tirelessly to improve Regional Economic Mobility. Get ready to hear from the Atlanta Regional Commission, the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, and United Way of Greater Atlanta as they share how far we’ve come. Plus, you’ll even get a sneak peek, a teaser from Out of Hand Theater Atlanta’s brand new performance, which will be coming to living rooms in 2027.

So, who is this for? If you’re a civic leader, a community organizer, or just someone who genuinely cares about the future of Atlanta and wants to be part of the solution, this is your spot. It’s a great solo hang if you’re looking to network and learn, or even a super insightful date if you and your boo are passionate about making a difference. The event is happening on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Tara Atlanta, located at 2345 Cheshire Bridge Road Northeast, Atlanta. For pricing, you’ll need to check the ticket information directly. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect with the change-makers of our city!
