Okay, homegirl, listen up! The Gluten Freedom Fest ATL is coming back on September 27, and honey, they’re doing it bigger and better this year. If you’re all about that gluten-free life, or just curious to see what all the fuss is about, you absolutely need to circle this date on your calendar. Get ready for a full day dedicated to delicious eats, sips, and good vibes, all with zero gluten.
This shindig is going down at Monday Night Brewing, The Garage, over in Southwest Atlanta, from 12 PM to 6 PM. And guess what? General admission is free, so you can just roll up and enjoy the festivities. They’re bringing back all the good stuff from last year’s event, which was huge, but this time they’ve got a new venue, more parking, and even more vendors. Plus, they’re promising some gluten-free surprises up their sleeve, live music, and a super family-friendly atmosphere, so bring the whole crew.
Now, about the food, because we know that’s why you’re really here! They are going all in with a full gluten-free pizza menu, so you can get your pie fix, though they might limit it to two pizzas per order. But wait, there’s more! Expect two burger tents slinging gluten-free burgers and hot dogs, wings, and a brand new gluten-free beer battered onion rings collaboration with Disco Chicken. For drinks, look for red balloons on tap handles for an easy gluten-free callout on beers, ciders, and cocktails, plus non-alcoholic options. Just know that while it’s free to get in, food and drinks are available for purchase, first come, first served.
If you’re serious about getting your grub on and hate lines as much as I do, consider snagging an Early Access Pass for $15. This gets you in from 11 AM to 12 PM, an hour before the general crowd. You’ll beat the rush and get first dibs on all the food and vendors. This pass also includes a pour of their gluten-free cider, though it doesn’t include a pizza, it definitely gives you the best shot at trying those popular items before they sell out or get crazy wait times. There are only 40 of these early bird tickets, so don’t sleep on it if you want that VIP treatment.
You’ll find a packed lineup of local vendors, like Valley’s Bakery, Love It Gluten Free, Argentis, Disco Chicken, Hoagie Brothers, Hell Yeah Gluten Free, The Local Graze, Botánico Cocina, and Heavenly Cakes by Pharez, with even more to be announced. They’re even doing a gluten-free food drive in partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, so if you can, bring some gluten-free pantry staples to donate. Look for the donation box at the welcome table; every little bit helps folks managing celiac disease or gluten intolerance.
For parking, you’ve got options at the Lee + White district, but since it’s a shared lot with multiple businesses, they recommend coming early, carpooling, or using a rideshare because spots can fill up fast. This is the perfect event for a solo adventure, a fun family outing, or a chill hangout with your besties. Come rain or shine, they’ve got plenty of indoor space, so you’re covered no matter what. Just remember to RSVP to help them plan, and if there’s something specific you’re craving, definitely arrive early!
